誰もが知っている名作のイラストカットを担当しました。
名作はこの後どうなるか知っていても、ページをめくって展開を楽しんだり、気持ちを考えたりしながら、何度読んでも楽しいですね。
今回は日本のむかしばなし担当でしたが、次回は西洋の名作も描きたいです。
自分も幼いころたくさん読んでもらったように、おとなから子どもへ、また次へと、ずっと続いていってほしいですね。
「うさぎとかめ」ですが、かめは、自分のペースでゆっくりと、地道に進んで行くというお話だったと思うのですが、（5）のかめは、いったいどういう感情だったのか（突然のハイテンション）ちょっとわかりません。
I was in charge of cutting illustrations for a masterpiece that everyone knows.
Even if you know what happens next in a masterpiece, it is still fun to read it over and over again, enjoying the development of the story and thinking about the feelings as you turn the pages. This time I was in charge of Japanese folktales, but next time I would like to illustrate Western masterpieces as well.
Just as I had many stories read to me when I was a child, I hope that the stories will continue to be read from one adult to the next, and from one child to the next.
As for “The Rabbit and the Tortoise,” I think it was a story about the tortoise going slowly and steadily at his own pace, but I am not sure what kind of feelings (sudden high tension) the tortoise had in (5).
