医療雑誌のイラストカットを担当しました。写真だとナマっぽくなってしまう内蔵や細胞、または細菌などをキャラクターのようにデフォルメして、楽しく伝わるように描いています。
難しいのは資料で、動物のように動物園に行って確認するというわけにいかないので、支給された画像を目を皿のようにして見つめたり、映っていない角度や部位などは自分で医学書の資料を調べたり。
正解を知らない専門分野はそういった人知れない苦労があります。
I was in charge of illustration cuts for a medical magazine. I draw internal organs, cells, or bacteria, etc., which would look naff in a photograph, deforming them like characters to convey a sense of fun.
The difficult part is the materials.
In a specialized field where one does not know the correct answer, there are many hardships that one does not know about.
