「夏に気をつけたい 食中毒対策」イラストカットを担当しました。PHPは実家のトイレに並べてあり、幼いころから愛読していた偉大な雑誌です。
こういったコラムの文章にに合った挿絵を描く、イラストレーターという存在をなんとなく知ったのもPHPだったかもしれません。そのPHP本誌の案件ではありませんが、お声がけいただきうれしく思いました。
食中毒のさまざまな菌を擬人化したものや、食中毒を防ぐための知恵を描きました。菌は人にとって敵にも味方にもなる存在です。まずは相手を知るところから始めないと。

PHP is a great magazine that I have loved since I was a little girl, and I used to read it in the bathroom of my parents’ house.
It may have been in PHP that I somehow came to know about the existence of illustrators who draw illustrations that match the text of columns like this. Although this was not a project for the PHP magazine, I was happy to be asked to work on it.
I drew personifications of various bacteria that cause food poisoning, as well as wisdom on how to prevent food poisoning. Bacteria are both enemies and allies to people. We have to start by getting to know them.
