I made a fair trade backgammon game to be used in a seminar class at a university. The game is like a game of life, with events that occur when the player stops on a square, but the content is quite serious because of the fair trade theme.
Based on the manuscript, we designed the board, money cards, and other cards, and drew illustrations according to the contents, and submitted them to the printer. I knew something about fair trade, but I learned something new.
It is a win-win situation where children and the adults around them can work with a sense of fulfillment and escape poverty, and the buyers also benefit.
We have received many inquiries from professors nationwide who have seen this backgammon and would like to use it in their classes.
