Exhibition Announcement
I am participating in JILLA Exhibition 2025 — Jade with a new work.
“I Still Don’t Know Jade”
F8, Canvas Print (2025)
This work tells a story woven around jade.
A mother and siblings on a South American terrace, the murmur of a mine, the quiet glow of gemstones.
Fragments are scattered like clues, evoking a sense of unease and fascination—an image shrouded in mystery.
My husband has not returned.
“Don’t worry. Take care of the children.”
He said that, though his face betrayed anything but confidence, and drove away in his pickup before dawn. A week has passed since.
The police cannot be trusted.
Months ago, a family we knew from the neighborhood sought help from a police inspector. A few months later, they vanished from the town without a trace.
The children know as well.
They act cheerful, trying not to burden their mother, which only deepens the ache in my heart.
It must be that pendant.
The jade stone glinting dully, suspended from a chain of gold—its cold gleam lingers in my mind.
