今日は金曜日。仕事で遅くなった夜。
上着をつかんで社を飛び出し、大急ぎで子どものお迎えに。
街はザワザワ。こころはざわざわ。みんなしかめっ面で笑ってる。
オープンな笑顔、腹の中のあっかんべえ。雑踏が跳ねている。
今はとにかく先を急ぐ。
なぜそんなに急いでるのって？ たいせつな用事がもうひとつ。
たいせつな、やくそく。
あの人が、彼が、待っている。
大通りからひと筋入った、古いビルとビルの間の暗い路地。
弾む息のまま、角を曲がると、いつものように——。
彼は深く、静かに——スンと座っていた。
「ごめんね、ごめんね！ずいぶん待ったでしょ！」
彼の足裏をさすりながら彼女は言う。
（ごめんね？違うよね。‘ありがとう’でいいんだよ！）
「あ、、ありがとう。…ありがとう！！」

It’s Friday. It’s a late night at work.
I grabbed my jacket and rushed out of the office to pick up my child.
The city is buzzing. My heart is in turmoil. Everyone is smiling with a frown.
Open smiles, akkanbei in the belly. The hustle and bustle is bouncing.
Now, anyway, I’m in a hurry to get on with my life.
Why so urgent? I have one more important thing to do.
An important, important appointment.
That man, he is waiting for me.
A dark alley between old buildings, just off the main street.
With bouncing breath, I turn the corner, and as usual…
He was sitting there, deep and quiet.
I’m sorry, I’m sorry! You’ve waited a long time!”
She says, rubbing the sole of his foot.
（I’m sorry? No, you’re not. Just say ‘thank you’!)
